MY Mission:

Better is within your reach

Through coaching, thought partnership and support, I help clients define what better means for them - becoming better leaders, better at what they do, better at tricky conversations or relationships, or heading in a better career direction — and help them achieve it. What kind of better do you want to be? Let’s work together to clarify where you’re going and how to get there!

Coaching that counts

We all need coaching. Anyone who is working towards better can use a bit of guidance, a bit of clarity, and a bit of accountability along the way. If there’s a voice that’s telling you “I should be able to figure this out on my own”, just know that the athletes, leaders, and stars that you admire likely have coaches. The key is to find the coaching that counts for you.

Let’s choose each other

Coaching needs to be a fit between you and your coach. In other words, we need to choose each other.

The most important thing in choosing each other is the rapport we have together. Find a coach where you feel comfortable right off the bat and where you can be yourself right away. The next most important thing is finding a coach who has a frame of reference for your life, especially if you work in a specialized area or are facing leadership challenges. That doesn’t mean that your coach has to have gone through the exact thing you’re going through. But it helps if you don’t have to explain every aspect of your work world for your coach to be able to help you. Finally, work with your coach to ensure their ways of working will work for you. Coaches have different theories, tools and methods to deliver good coaching. Discuss openly with your coach what will work and not work for you.

20+

two decades of leadership experience

I’m a tri-sector leader, with over two decades of experience in the business, government and non-profit sectors. I’ve contributed to board tables, executive tables, councils/ministries and taken a company through an IPO. I’ve also been a first time manager, a contractor, and employee.

16+

Industries

I’ve worked in the following industries/areas: technology, travel & tourism, real estate, ski, banking, investment advisory, insurance, legal, mergers & acquisitions, sports, events, destination marketing, leadership development, transportation, health and municipal & provincial government.

Multi

multiple perspectives

I’ve been the only woman and only person of colour at more tables than I can count. I’ve been the only person who didn’t speak the language. I’ve felt out of place and wondered if I’m worthy. I’ve been miserable and burned out. I’ve also fed my soul and loved what I'm doing. I’ve executed a successful career pivot. I bring these multiple perspectives to my coaching.
